Geometrically invariant image watermarking using Polar Harmonic Transforms

چکیده
This paper presents an invariant image watermarking scheme by introducing the Polar Harmonic Transform (PHT), which is a recently developed orthogonal moment method. Similar to Zernike moment (ZM) and pseudo-Zernike moment (PZM) approaches, PHT is defined on a circular domain. The magnitudes of PHTs are invariant to image rotation and scaling. Furthermore, the PHTs are free of numerical instability, so they are more suitable for watermarking. In this paper, the invariant properties of PHTs are investigated. During embedding, a subset of the accurate PHTs are modified according to the binary watermark sequence. Then a compensation image is formatted by reconstructing the modified PHT vector. The final watermarked image is obtained by adding the compensation image to the original image. In the decoder, the watermark can be retrieved from the magnitudes of the PHTs directly. Experimental results illustrate that the proposed scheme outperforms ZM/PZM based schemes in terms of embedding capacity and watermark robustness and is also robust to both geometric and signal processing based attacks. 2012 Elsevier Inc. Geometrically robust image watermarking by sector-shaped partitioning of geometric-invariant regions.
In a feature-based geometrically robust watermarking system, it is a challenging task to detect geometric-invariant regions (GIRs) which can survive a broad range of image processing operations. Instead of commonly used Harris detector or Mexican hat wavelet method, a more robust corner detector named multi-scale curvature product (MSCP) is adopted to extract salient features in this paper. Bas...
متن کاملGeometrically Robust Image Watermarking on a Circular Domain
In image watermarking, the watermark’s vulnerability to geometric transformations has long been a difficult problem. Using invariant image features to carry the watermark is an effective approach to addressing this problem. In this paper, a multibit geometrically robust image watermarking algorithm using Zernike moments (ZMs) and pseudo-Zernike moments (PZMs) is proposed. Unlike its counterpart...
متن کاملFast Polar Cosine Transform for Image Description
Polar Cosine Transform (PCT) is one of the Polar Harmonic Transforms that those kernels are basic waves and harmonic in nature. They are proposed to represent invariant patterns for two dimensional image description and are demonstrated to show superiorities comparing with other methods on extracting rotation invariant patterns for images. However in order to increase the computation speed, fas...
متن کاملGeometrically invariant watermarking using feature points
This paper presents a new approach for watermarking of digital images providing robustness to geometrical distortions. The weaknesses of classical watermarking methods to geometrical distortions are outlined first. Geometrical distortions can be decomposed into two classes: global transformations such as rotations and translations and local transformations such as the StirMark attack. An overvi...
متن کاملRST-invariant digital image watermarking based on log-polar mapping and phase correlation
Based on log-polar mapping and phase correlation, this paper presents a novel digital image watermarking scheme that is invariant to rotation, scaling, and translation (RST). We embed watermark in the log-polar mappings of Fourier magnitude spectrum of original image, and use the phase correlation between the LPM of the original image and the LPM of the watermarked image to calculate the displa...
